Please Do Not…

We have recently become aware of a novel challenge to existence in today’s world: the confusing nature of modern art.  Traditionally, the term “art” denoted a painting, drawing, or other tangible object.  The bounds of this term, however, have extended to include such things as girls wearing fox heads, dancing through white rooms; people hitting walls and jumping about in a frenzy; cubes of unpainted plywood in a field.

How, in such a confusing world, is one to determine what is or is not art?

  1. “How, in such a confusing world, is one to determine what is or is not art?” Great question. I guess even though it’s highly subjective it’s still possible to determine a few points or rules. The problem with modern art interpretation is that in favour of modernism these rules are largely abandoned altogether.
